So its official.. I’m an obsessed pinterest fanatic. Between facebook, twitter, instagram and now pinterest its getting had to keep up, but oh do we love it! Funnily enough as a designer I have always had a pinboard sitting above my desk. Stuck to it various inspirations from the latest overseas mags, printed images from blogs, polaroids, photographs, fabrics and bits and pieces that I have found along the way. My inspiration is very personal.. its such a huge part of how I am feeling as a designer and what I am thinking and sometimes I like to hold those things close to me. I set up a pinterest account a few weeks ago, pinned a few things and thought ‘whats the big deal?’. Wind the clock forward a few weeks and I decided to give it another go… suddenly I WAS HOOKED… I started pinning everything. I’ve let go of my inspirations and put them out there for the world to see! Follow us on pinterest (disclaimer… you may be up all night, every night pinning obsessively!!!)
While an amazing tool.. I’m not about to give up my inspiration board above my desk. Nothing beats the feeling of finding a treasure, cutting it out and pinning it up! Heres a little sneak peek at my board right now. Yep- Spring-Summer 12/13 preps in the works! xx CP
